Texture in Mosaic
Learn to use 3D elements and andamento in mosaic design. Texture in mosaic captures highlights and shadows, combining some of the finer attributes of both painting and sculpture. You will create two small wall reliefs, using different methods of application. Course covers materials, tools, design, and technique. Tools provided for class use. Beginning and intermediate students welcome.

Mosaic Art for Kids
Learn the history of mosaic art with hands-on experience. Students will complete two projects, working with a variety of materials from natural to recycled objects. The first project, a garden pot, will explore how the early mosaics were made. The second project will be a butterfly wall hanging, creating the way mosaic artists work today.

Outside Mosaics
Learn two direct methods of mosaic art in this 3-session class. Students will create one 2D surface (exterior board) and one 3D surface (small garden pot). The last class will be a grouting night. Class focuses on the pique assiette style of mosaic which incorporates a myriad of materials. Instruction includes materials selection, tool use, design elements, and cutting techniques. Bring an apron or old shirt to protect clothing. All materials and supplies included. Tools are provided for class use.

Create a mosaic garden sphere in this 3-session class. We will focus on the pique assiette style of mosaic, which incorporates a myriad of materials.
